10 Jahre Maier’s Lab – wer hätte das gedacht?
Angefangen hat alles vor gut 12–13 Jahren im Rocker 33. So richtig zum Leben erwacht ist das Lab aber erst in der Romantica. Ich erinnere mich noch genau an den Anruf von Femke im Juli 2015: „Marco und ich übernehmen die Romantica – hast du Lust, eine monatliche Nacht zu hosten?“ Der Rest ist Geschichte.
Seitdem sind unzählige Nächte vergangen und so viele großartige Künstler:innen bei Maier’s Lab aufgetreten: alte Weggefährt:innen, internationale Gäste, Newcomer:innen und Freund:innen, die längst Familie geworden sind. Aus Musik wurden Erinnerungen, aus Abenden Geschichten, die mich für immer begleiten.Ein riesiges Danke geht an Femke & Marco für euer Vertrauen, an die Romantica-Crew, alle DJs & Künstler:innen – und natürlich an euch, mein Publikum. Ohne euch wäre Maier’s Lab nie das geworden, was es heute ist. Ihr seid das Herz dieser Nächte.
Damit ich in dieser langen Jubiläumsnacht auch etwas mehr Zeit für das eine oder andere Holy Water mit euch habe, habe ich mir noch ein paar langjährige und zukünftige Freund:innen und Wegbegleiter:innen dazugebucht.

Luzie, 1995 in Frankfurt geboren, entdeckte 2017 ihre Liebe zu Offenbach – seitdem ist die Stadt ihre kreative Heimat. Seit 2020 ist sie als DJ aktiv und begeistert mit Sets aus Minimal, House, Electro, Acid und Techno. Mit ihren Residencies bei Mitte der Gesellschaft und clubcherry setzt sie sich stark für die LGBTQIA+ Community ein und schafft sichere, inklusive Räume. Ein besonderes Highlight ihrer Karriere war das Debüt in der Panorama Bar Berlin 2023, ein Meilenstein in der internationalen Szene. Außerdem hostet sie seit 2023 die monatliche Radioshow Offenbach Love Soundscapes bei Callshop Radio, in der sie ihren einzigartigen Sound mit einem breiteren Publikum teilt. Für das Jubiläum steht Luzie für 10 Jahre Freundschaft, Leidenschaft und Liebe zur Musik – und wie es der Zufall will, haben wir uns 2015 beim Off-Sonarkennengelernt.

Rework, das Duo bestehend aus Michael Kuebler und Daniel Varga, prägte die elektronische Musikszene mit internationalen Clubhits wie Love Love Love Yeah und You're So Just Just, die auf dem Frankfurter Label Playhouse erschienen. Ihr Sound, den sie als „New Wave House“ beschreiben, kombiniert minimalistische Strukturen mit eingängigen Vocals und einem Hauch von Tanzflächenmelancholie. Im Jahr 2024 veröffentlichten Rework das Album Never Again und die Single You're So Just Just mit Remixen von Seth Troxler & Cinthie. 2025 folgten die EP Lipstick und der Disco-Slammer Disco Love mit Vocals von Sira Kuebler. Ihre Musik erschien auf Labels wie Get Physical Music, Exlove Records und Visionquest. Daniel und ich kennen uns schon seit den frühen 90ern – als die House- und Techno-Bewegung gerade erst begann. Daniel war damals als tragendes Gründungsmitglied von Cybordelics mit dem Hit Adventures of Dama maßgeblich an der frühen Techno-Geschichte beteiligt. Wir haben schon damals zusammen an Sounds gebastelt, unsere Wege haben sich immer wieder gekreuzt – und seit einigen Jahren ist Daniel zudem mein Klavierlehrer des Vertrauens.Barbara Nicole (Dirtybird / Fantastic Voyage / USA)
Wie der Zufall so will, haben mir die Jungs von Rework nach dem Booking mitgeteilt, dass sie Barbara an dem Wochenende im Studio haben – und wenn ich schon die Möglichkeit habe, euch ein „New Talent“ aus den Staaten zu präsentieren… Barbara Nicole ist eine multifacettierte elektronische Künstlerin – eine wahre „Choose-Your-Own-Adventure“ DJ, Produzentin, Sängerin, Songwriterin und Label- Head von Good Crazy. Ursprünglich aus Boston, begann sie ihre musikalische Reise als Chorsängerin beim Grammy-prämierten Handel & Haydn Society Orchestra. Heute begeistert sie weltweit mit mitreißenden Melodien, treibenden Rhythmen und einer einzigartigen Mischung aus Punkrock, Indie Dance, Deep House, Italo Disco und Progressive House. Mit Releases auf Labels wie Dirtybird Records und Data Transmission und Support von Größen wie Jaguar, LP Giobbi und John Acquaviva zählt Barbara Nicole schon jetzt zu den aufstrebenden Stars der Szene. 10 Years of Maier’s Lab – who would have thought?
It all started about 12–13 years ago at Rocker 33. But Maier’s Lab truly came to life in Romantica. I still remember Femke’s call in July 2015: “Marco and I are taking over Romantica – do you want to host a monthly night?” The rest is history. Since then, countless nights have passed and so many amazing artists have played at Maier’s Lab: old companions, international guests, newcomers, and friends who have long since become family. Music turned into memories, nights turned into stories that will stay with me forever.A huge thank you goes out to Femke & Marco for your trust, to the Romantica crew, to all DJs & artists – and of course to you, my audience. Without you, Maier’s Lab would never have become what it is today. You are the heart of these nights.
To make sure I’ve got a little more time for one or two Holy Waters with you during this long anniversary night, I’ve invited a few longtime and future friends and companions to join the lineup.
